With existing live streaming technology, if the video doesn't get from the encoder to the cloud within a few seconds, that video content is lost. In this regard, the cloud transcoder does not have a perfect copy for transcoding to multiple bitrates. As a result, all viewers will see videos that have been transcoded with missing data, resulting in a poor viewing experience including buffer wheels, jitter, and loss of quality.

With the Resi web platform, based on the patented Resilient Streaming protocol, there is no time limit for sending the video to the cloud. The transcoder can then wait for a perfect and complete copy without having to experience any temporary network interruptions. This means that for the first time, viewers will be able to see perfect quality videos on any device. The delay is configurable and even a two minute delay makes a big difference in viewer quality. This results in a high quality and uninterrupted viewing experience untypical of most live environments.
